Think Deep | Meditate | Reflect

A launchpad for thinking creatively about Jesus Christ in an everyday setting

Christians suck…

“Christians suck.”

That’s a phrase that I hear people say often.

It doesn’t make me angry because they have a point. We do suck sometimes, we are jerks, we can be hypocrites, and we can do stupid stuff.

Now I’m grateful that “the church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints.”

But there’s something deeper going on when people say, “Christians suck.”

Chick-fil-A, Ben & Jerry’s & Political Correctness

“What am I worried about?”

Money.

So I ventured into the Bible, looking, searching, hoping that God can put me at ease and instead I got a reality check.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today we celebrate a simple man who had a dream.

What separates him from the rest of us who dream?
